A Whole-Body Approach to Movement, Healing, and Support

Ozark Active is about helping you feel more at home in your body and your life.

Through group experiences and individual support, this work creates space to slow down, reconnect, and build steadier, more sustainable ways of caring for yourself.

Ozark Active Is a Way of Life

Ozark Active is more than a name. It’s a call to live fully, move intentionally, and connect deeply. It reflects a way of being that blends physical vitality, mindful presence, and connection to community and the natural world. The Ozarks are our playground, our classroom, and our sanctuary. A place to explore, challenge ourselves, and reconnect with the totality of life around us. Through mind and body wellness, outdoor adventures, and community experiences, Ozark Active helps people get moving, get outside, and get involved, not just for themselves, but for the health of their communities and the planet. At its heart, Ozark Active is about living actively in every sense: building resilience in the body, clarity in the mind, and connection to the people and places that matter most. It’s about showing up fully and intentionally in life in ways that build and support healthy, happy bodies, minds, and taking action to improve our communities and ecosystems.

Get To Know Marisa

Marisa’s work is rooted in paying attention to the body and responding with care.

Her approach to wellness is shaped by years of movement practice, facilitation, and study, alongside lived experience. She works slowly, intentionally, and with respect for the body’s pace, creating space for people to reconnect with themselves through movement, breath, and presence.

Rather than pushing for change, Marisa focuses on listening, noticing, and supporting what is already there. Her work is grounded, integrative, and practical, offering structure without rigidity and guidance without pressure.

Ozark Active grew from a desire to create spaces where people can move, explore, and integrate in ways that feel steady, supportive, and sustainable. The work is quiet by design and centered on building awareness, resilience, and trust within the body.
